Welcome to AiFitScan (the "App"). AiFitScan (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information automatically collected when you use the App.
a. Personal Information (collected with your consent)
- Profile & onboarding data: height, weight, age, gender, fitness goals, diet preferences, and other health-related inputs you enter to receive personalized diet or posture analysis.
- Optional profile fields you choose to provide within the App.
b. Automatically Collected Information
- Device & diagnostics: device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and performance data.
- Usage analytics: feature usage, session duration, and anonymous identifiers collected via Firebase Analytics.
c. Advertising Data (future use)
Note: The App does not display ads at the time of this policy. In future versions we may include third-party advertising networks. Those providers may collect device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID), IP address, and other signals for ad delivery and personalization.
d. Camera Access
To enable posture scan, the App requests permission to use your device camera. Photos are captured and processed locally on your device only for analysis. We do not store, upload, or share your images with any server or third party.
e. Google Sign-In Data
When you log in with Google Sign-In, we collect basic profile information provided by Google, such as your name, email address, and profile picture (if available). This information is used solely to create and manage your account in the App. We do not share this data with third parties except as described in this policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the App’s core functionality (generate personalized diet plans, posture analysis, and fitness insights).
- To improve and optimize the App using analytics and crash reporting (Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics).
- To support future monetization features, such as subscriptions and ads.
- To respond to user support requests and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with the following categories of third parties:
- Service providers who perform services on our behalf (e.g., Firebase for analytics and crash reporting).
- Payment processors — Google Play Billing handles payments for any subscription purchases; we do not receive or store your full payment information.
- Advertising partners (if ads are introduced): third-party ad networks such as Google AdMob which may collect data for ad serving and personalization.
- AI providers (e.g., OpenAI): when you use features that rely on generative AI — such as chatbot interactions or AI-generated diet plans — we may send user inputs (which may include profile or health-related data you provided) to the AI provider to generate a response. The provider may process and retain that data according to their policies. See the "AI & OpenAI" section below for details.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to protect rights, or to respond to a legal request.
- Google Sign-In: if you choose to sign in with your Google account, we use Google’s authentication service to verify your identity. Your basic profile info (name, email, and profile picture) may be provided to us by Google. Use of this service is also subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
4. AI Use & OpenAI
The App uses third-party AI services (for example, OpenAI's ChatGPT API) to generate diet suggestions, chatbot responses, and other automated content where you opt to use those features. When you use AI-powered features, we may send your inputs (which can include text, profile data, or other information you provide) to the AI service provider.
Data handling & retention: OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs may be retained for a limited period (for abuse monitoring and service improvements) unless a different retention option is available to the developer. If you are concerned about how an AI provider handles data, you may review the provider’s privacy documentation or contact us for details. We will not share your personal information with AI providers for their marketing or sale (we only use AI providers to provide the requested service).

5. Analytics & Cookies
We use Firebase Analytics to collect analytics data about how the App is used. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in their documentation. We do not use browser cookies in the native mobile App, but equivalent local storage and identifiers may be used to enable features and analytics.
6. Ads & Personalized Advertising (if introduced)
If we introduce ads, ad networks may collect information such as advertising identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID), device information, and IP address to personalize ads and measure ad performance. You can opt out of interest-based ads using your device advertising settings.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
The App is currently free. In a future release we may offer premium features via a subscription model using Google Play Billing. Purchases and refunds are handled by Google Play and are subject to Google Play’s terms and policies.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the services and as required by law. If you request deletion of your account or data, we will delete your personal information from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes. Note that third-party providers (for example AI providers or analytics services) may retain data according to their policies.
9. Your Rights
- Access & correction: You may request access to or correction of your personal data stored by us.
- Deletion: You may request deletion of your data. Deleting your account may remove access to features that rely on stored profile information.
- Opt-out: You can opt out of personalized ads (if introduced) through your device settings.

10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us to request removal.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information. However, no security system is impenetrable and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. International Transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in servers located in multiple countries. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date above.

AiFitScan is designed for fitness and wellness support. It does not provide medical advice. The content is not a substitute for professional medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider for health-related questions.
